Competition Objective
Students at CSUDH and local community colleges identify and pursue innovative renewable energy concepts in their community. It’s not about the best renewable energy startup technology. It’s about the best application of innovative technologies in the community for financial and social benefit.
Join us on November 10th from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM at CSUDH for the Kick-Off Event!
Students will showcase and potentially pitch their concept on March 12, 2026 on the CSUDH campus.
Teams will be evaluated by a panel of community and industry leaders based upon four macro criteria:

Join us as we discuss the 2026 Arevon Applied Innovation Renewable Energy Competition guidelines and give Arevon a warm welcome into the CSUDH family.
Competition Timeline

November 10, 2025 - Kick Off at CSUDH
- December 2025 - February 2026 - Info sessions and workshops at CSUDH and community colleges
- February & March 2026 - Coaching sessions
- March 12, 2026 - Showcase and Grand Finale Competition
March 12, 2026 Finalist Lightning Round
- Six to eight finalists will be selected to present in the grand finale, Lightning Round
- Presenters will get 3 minutes to pitch their idea followed by 5 minutes of Q&A
- Judges will select the top three projects as the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner as well as specialty prize winners!
